Marlon Myers was formally chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on November 14, 2015 and took the name ‘Moses’ after the patron, St. Moses the Black of Skete.

Director / Assistant Treasurer

Garth West was formally chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on July 8, 2017 and took the name ‘Ephraim’ after the patron, St. Ephraim the Syrian.

PAISIOS

William Massias was formally baptized and chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on October 28, 2018 and took the name ‘Paisios’ after the patron, St. Paisios of Mount Athos.

JOSEPH

Simon Thompson was formally baptized and chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on October 28, 2018 and took the name ‘Joseph’ after the patron, St. Joseph the Hesyhast.

Arnold Bloomfield was formally baptized and chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on June 22, 2019, and took the name ‘Athanasius’ after the patron, St. Athanasius the Great.

Tina-Shea Myrie was formally baptized and chrismated into the Eastern Orthodox Church on January 18, 2021 and took the name ‘Christina’ after the patron, St. Martyr Christina of Tyre.

GEORGETTE

Director

Amera Khalil is of Syrian decent and a cradle Orthodox of the Antiochian jurisdiction. She is a parishioner of St. Moses the Black Orthodox Church (Pittsburgh, USA), but has been partially living in Jamaica for several years. After her infant baptism and chrismation she was given the name ‘Georgette’ after the patron saint, Holy Glorious Great Martyr Victory Bearer and Wonderworker George.

Viktoriia Massias is a cradle Orthodox, originally from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Ukraine), but has been living in Jamaica for several years. After her infant baptism and chrismation she was given the name ‘Nika’ after the patron saint, Holy Martyr Nika of Corinth.
