Caribbean Vicariate

To enhance the growth and cohesion of Eastern Orthodox missions in the Caribbean, this proposal recommends establishing a Caribbean Vicariate under ROCOR’s oversight. This centralized structure would streamline administration, resource allocation, and pastoral care, fostering sustainable development across Jamaica, Dominica, Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, and beyond.

Jamaican Monastery

This proposal outlines the establishment of St. Nicholas Orthodox Monastery in Jamaica as a spiritual, educational, and missionary hub for the Caribbean. Partnering with Holy Trinity Seminary (Jordanville), the monastery will serve as a center for monastic life, clergy formation, and Orthodox cultural outreach, anchoring ROCOR’s long-term presence in the region.

St Nicholas Monastery

The choice of St. Nicholas Orthodox Monastery is the name for the proposed monastery in Jamaica, which is intentional and rooted in theological, cultural, and strategic considerations.
